Questions for Paterno

Many people have their own opinions on Joe Paterno's legacy and himself as a man, coach, father, and educator after the Penn State scandal broke.  Many local residents in State College, current students as PSU, and PSU alumni blast the Freeh report for Paterno's involvement of a cover-up. My father (a PSU alumni) is one of these critics of the Freeh report and he tells me daily that there is no direct evidence of Paterno's involvement in knowing of Sandusky's misdeeds before the 2001 incident, where Mike Mcqueary reported sexual abuse to Joe. I myself am still a skeptic of what Paterno knew and why nothing was reported. Because he is Joe Paterno, he had more responsibility in reporting such behavior rather than doing the bare minimum. Paterno even admitted he should have done more, but my question to him is: How can you sleep at night when you know something illegal is happening on campus with Sandusky and nothing happened after you reported the alleged abuse to your superiors? Where was the follow up???
